Shane Omar is a seasoned real estate executive with nearly 3 decades of experience leading complex development projects across the U.S. Since August 2024, Shane has been supporting Gateway Jax in delivering their $2B+ downtown Jacksonville redevelopment across 32 city blocks. Prior to joining Gateway Jax, Shane was a Partner with Weller Development Partners, spearheading luxury resort developments in Grand Bahama and Napa Valley. In 2011, Shane joined JBG and during his 12-year tenure oversaw an 18.7 million sf pipeline, played a key role in delivering Amazon HQ2 and an unprecedented transformation of an entire city from an 8-hour office environment to a vibrant, mixed-use urban destination now known as National Landing.  A former D1 scholar-athlete and Eastern Michigan graduate, he brings a hands-on, strategic approach rooted in decades of experience across construction, development, and investment.
